Impossible to download...

Hello, Impossible to download this book: how loose 4€... Clearly, DO NOT pay for this app, you will waste your money! I am very disapointed!

Génial

Enfin en français ! Bravo

Ótimo! Great!

No estilo de Aventuras Fantásticas, excelente diversão! In the Fighting Fantasy style, top notch entertainment!

Great game

Great Value if you like old- School gamebooks. The Story is engaging and well written, the Combat System is a Bit clunky, but Once you Discover that the dice can be "fudged" by shaking the iPhone it becomes a dexterity game as well. Recommended!

sadly nothing for Voiceover users

Still no voiceover support. a game that mainly focuses on textual output should be more accessible for the blind and visual impaired. Sadly the developers here did nothing to support the blind gaming community. Voiceover is a standard program build in every iPhone since the 3gs series that reads the on screen text for the blind and visual impaired. This game is not supported by it. Developers, please have a look at the accessibility programming guidelines on apples developer website.

Very nice

Just like the old pen and paper days... Please add a few save slots, I know whats gonna happen if my brother grabs the ipad....

Gamebook is back!

Feeling Young again. Already thought about a Campagne?

Great story, fits the genre

Great story, very well written. It strikes the right balance between narrative force and interactive gameplay found in classic interactive fiction books. Will definitely buy more of the series.

Great Game but with Bug

Game is great but the newest version has a bug with the bookmarks.

Great "Timewarp"

The rules are much easier than the ones in my gamebooks of the past. But the Game is great anyway!

Perfect

Just perfect. Great story writing. Nice user interface. Keep the books coming.

Well adapted for iPod

I loved these books as a kid, and I still love them 15 years later, thanks to this new format. This is perfect for someone who has to constantly put down their iPod, (like at work...) The dice system and character sheet seem taylored to be digital, and the story is light enough to allow for interruption, and entertaining enough to keep you hooked.

Great book

Truly enjoyable and well-written. You cannot go wrong when buying this title.

Wow

I used to read this kinda book when i was a lad and let me tell u its awesome this is by far the best book app i have ever bought..... So amazing i bought all 3 :). Keep up the great work guys and thx for making me realize more adventures!!!!!

Good game

That brought back memory. I felt like in high school again. The book was good, Beside the fact that I had to start over and over again. And The story is actually quit shorter then I remember this books to be. Much more fight then they are healing opportunity. Frustrated about having to start over all the time, and despite, using novice, and getting really good at choosing the right option, I had to cheat, to win the game. A bug in the game really. When touching the screen to roll, before the last die stop, flick the iPad to re-roll the dice. Well, off to the next Gamebooks. 

Amazing!

An excellent choose your own adventure!

Awesome Game

Gamebook Adventures: An Assassin in Orlandes is a fun pick-your-own-path game that involves plenty of reading and imagination. For fans of RPGs, fantasy novels, and games with die rolling mechanics, GA 1 will provide a great experience for all. Many may be frustrated with the trial-and-error gameplay and lack of positive endings, but gamebook veterans know that these elements are a staple of the genre. Well worth the price.

While I love these types of books...

I found the price to be quite steep and the gameplay to be shorter than expected. I completed the game in 2 days and have only 2 achievements left to complete. While Ill gladly buy the other books in the series since the writing is fantastic, in comparison to other books and games in the appstore, Ill only spend $1 if this is all Im going to get as far as content goes. $5.64 for an app of this size is not worth the price. Even the fighting fantasy series has coloured drawings, is more challenging and is cheaper by 50% more. Hopefully, this company thinks of the customer who can pay $1 for another type of game that has far more playing time than this gamebook.

Impossibly amazing

This is my first time playing a gamebook and i must say that it is very well made. The intro starts off quite ominesly and grows to a rage of questions and the ending is quite stupendous. The battle play is great and easy to follow and the bookmark system is quite convenent. The fact that the makers added a background book to get into the history of the game as well as the common facts about the life of a charater in the story, very well done. What i would like to add is more pictures because its hard for some individuals to think some of this stuff up like the wepons and the items(but its fun to try). Thank you for making this work of art and play, and i will be getting the other books shortly. Sinserly a loyal fan

Great game

Enjoyed it very much both advancing the story, the different paths and the battles. Will definitely play the sequels. Only gripe is the steep price, if you get it on sale for a couple of dollars, its fine, but 6 is too much.
