Amazing game with an amazing story! But could you please make an option to play as a female? The whole point is to play as yourself but I find that to be a bit difficult when the game addresses me as a man and I have a girlfriend. Thanks!

Loved it, wish the sequels built off the same story line though. Oh well, off to new adventures.

Anyone who was a fan of the Steve Jackson/Ian Livingstone Fighting Fantasy books back in the day will enjoy these. It appears all the subsequent books take place in the same world. Would be nice to revisit this storyline at some point.

You have to get this game, totally worth the time! I normally like strategy and action games. Never thought I could get into this type of game, but it is great. Definitely going to get more in this series.

It reminded me of a well-done "Choose your Adventure" type book crossed with RPG elements. I thoroughly enjoyed it & plan to explore the book more with replays.

An extremely well written adventure that will draw you into a world that only the greatest lore can achieve.

I just happen to come across this because a game site had it listed on sale, but I gladly wouldve paid full price. Ive heard of choose your own adventure books, but the interaction brings so much more tension and gratification when you succeed in a good dice roll or decision. If you like a good story and want a compelling causal game you can pick up and put down as needed, dont think about it. Just buy it! I stayed up till 3 in morning to finish the game and right this review so Im goin to bed now.

After finishing the current part of zombie exodus, I was looking for another text game to immerse myself. This game doesnt have the same level of immersion. There are a lot of passive writing and so far I havent ran into a companion. It tries to be engaging by using d&d rolls for attacking creatures, but its still not all that interesting. What was really memorable to me from other game either from other companies that does text games are the illuminating 1st person stories and descriptions that make you feel like youre there. the story kind of just lacks charisma on some level. Everything is matter of fact and people seem really one dimensional. I guess since this is the first story book produced it might have gotten better over time. All I know was I skimmed most of it and couldnt even focus on the story in great detail because the writing was really passive, and described a lot if stuff that i can care less about? it tries very hard to Spend most of the pages describing the environment, but that in itself seems like a chore to read. Its still worth it to try it out.

Being an rpg nerd my whole life playing games like D&D and Palladium RIFTS this game takes me back to the day! I can jump in and out depending on if I have time or not and the story keeps me coming back! Thanks TinMan, you guys are my Heroes

If you like choose your own adventure books and RPGs ,then you must buy these series of games! Truly a labor of love by Tin Man games. In a marketplace chocked full of crappy fermium shlock, this was a breath of fresh air. Great writing, great music, achievements (no Game Center but that doesnt bother me), and more replay value than arguably any game on the App Store. Loved this Gamebook and plan to buy the whole library. Thanks again to the devs! Please keep these coming and I will keep buying!

This game book wasnt real easy, so it provided many hours of replay fun.

This is an ok book but way too short. Finished it in a few hours ;-(

Entertaining story. Competently written. All roads seem to lead to the end, which most will find to be a pleasant surprise. The biggest challenge seems to be not dying from unlucky dice rolls. Ready for the next adventure!

This is so far the best game book I have ever played. Absolutely first rate!

I have a bunch of these and they work fine on my ipad2 but I was surprised they dont work on my iphone5s. They crash right after the load screen. Love these games but need to make them work on my iphone

This game is great. Feels like role-playing to me. Great plot with twists.

Tin Man really should not have lead with this book, as the first installment. Its just ok - not bad, not great. Luckily for me, I started with book four (which is amazing) and I was hooked. I think that if this book was the first one I tried, I would not have read any of the others. If you are looking to try one of these books, start with books three or four (both really good). And dont worry - you dont have to read the books in order. They are stand alone titles.

Pass on this. This series is not anywhere near the best, though the publisher does have better offerings that are not tied to this series.
